Diverse applications
NovaFlex® MultiFill technology permits the production
of foams containing melamine and other fillers (e.g. calcium carbonate)
using natural carbon dioxide as a blowing agent. The main applications
are found in flexible slabstock for mattress, upholstered furniture and
automotive industries.

Premier foam quality
The metering system is fed with a highly concentrated suspension
comprising polyol and fillers. A special creamer, purpose-developed to produce
NovaFlex® CO2 foam, ensures high product quality.

Batch filler metering
In the batch process, fillers are blended into polyol at a
pre-defined ratio using special equipment to prevent agglomeration. The resulting
suspension is then conditioned in a batch tank for further processing. The batch
tank and piping are operated in such a way that sedimentation of the mix is avoided.
The time interval between the preparation and processing steps may be of any length.

Online filler metering
Filler is continuously fed into the polyol flow
from a silo or big bag by a metering station with integrated feed screw.
A homogeneous polyol/filler mixture is obtained and metered directly into
the continuous main polyol stream. |
