Colour metering For adding one or more colours, Hennecke
offers colour metering units with a gear pump or in-line
piston pump, as well as MX
and MQ-type mixheads.
Colour metering The batch technique is most suit-able for applications
where one and the same colour is used all the time. One of the two main
components, usually polyol, is mixed with the re-levant colour before both
are fed into a work tank. Where frequent (or even shot-to-shot) colour
changes are necessa-ry, colour has to be metered as an additional
component.
Colour metering units Colour metering units allow diluted or undiluted colour
to be metered directly into the mixhead. While the gear-pump variety is
suitable for viscosities between 500 and 10,000 MPas approximately, the
in-line pis-ton pump type covers a viscosity range of up to about 4,000
MPas, but it is not suitable for abrasive colours.
Special mixheads For separate single-colour metering, our three-compo-nent
MX mixhead is a proven
solution. Here, colour is add-ed to every shot. The
MQ mix-head shown here
(for four or six components) provides 2 or 4 injectors for colour mete-ring.
In single-injector control mode, one of the colours can be metered
individually.
