CO2 as a blowing agent for flexible foam moulded parts
NovaForm technology is a further development of Hennecke's environmentally compatible NovaFlex® moulding technology. Compared with conventionally moulded foams, NovaForm can achieve density reductions of 20% and foam densities up to 35 kg/m³.

  

Batch or in-line process
On NovaForm systems, CO2 can be processed in two different ways:
Variable in-line metering of liquid carbon dioxide being fed into the supply stream of any one of the two reaction components. This is particularly suitable for applications with maximum CO2 content variations.
Production of batches containing liquid CO2 plus one reaction component. This procedure is predominantly used for applications where the formulation is by and large fixed.
Fields of application
In the automotive and furniture producing industry, NovaForm can be used for making lower-weight seats. NovaForm also opens up new opportunities for foam-in-cover processes.

Natural CO2 as a blowing agent
NovaForm technology is designed in such a way that liquid CO2 can be added either to polyol or to isocyanate, depending on the individual raw-material system.

Lower-weight moulded parts
Density reductions of up to 20%, densities up to 35 kg/m³

No more overpacking problems

A renaissance for foam-in-cover applications:
The pre-frothed, creamy reaction mixture is more or less unable to penetrate the cover fabric.
