Lightweight moulded parts made of flexible foam with a uniform, fine cell structure
VakuForm is a technology for particularly demanding applications. The process involves foaming under vacuum to produce lower-weight moulded parts with fine and uniform cell structures.
 

Method
As a patented system, VakuForm system utilises the mould itself as a vacuum zone. The inner mould-pressure can be set with maximum precision during rising and curing phase.

Up to 20 % density reduction
VakuForm cannot only be used to lower the foams' density by up to 20 per cent, it is also a production method for making high-grade foams without voids or pinholes. Main fields of application are in the automotive and furniture industries.


Lower raw-material losses
The vacuum technology also helps to save raw-materials. Vents and mould parting lines will remain virtually flash-free during moulding. There is also no longer the need for overpacking complicated moulds or indeed for complex vent holes with cover systems.
