Foam-filling refrigerator cabinets with enhanced productivity
Conventional foaming technology involves a random distribution of the reaction mix, even with rather complex cabinet geometries. This method requires overfilling of the cavities to ensure that the specified minimum density will be achieved at all points.

Patented Flowter for shorter demould times
Much shorter flow paths for the reaction mix provide an almost uniform density distribution throughout the refrigerator cabinet without overfilling. Our patented Flowter accelerates the filling process.

Clearly improved density distribution
Tests with refrigerator cabinets have confirmed that TopFlow technology offers significant advantages over the conventional foam-filling technique. These benefits are particularly pronounced on geometrically complex cabinets (e.g. for multi-compartment refrigerators). The two charts exemplify the results for a specified minimum foam density of 30 kg/m³.

TopFlow technology - PUre advantages
The TopFlow technology, a joint development of Bayer and Hennecke, provides refrigerator manufacturers with a number of benefits translating into reduced production costs:

Faster mixture injection
Shorter flow paths
Enhanced density distribution
Finer cell structure throughout the cabinet
Potentially shorter gel times (friability time)
Reduction of "overfill" without falling below the specified minimum foam density
Low-maintenance mixhead without cleaning piston
Spare part inventory reduction
