Grain size below 0.2 mm
GrindFlex is
a recycling process, in which foam trimmings are
converted into loose flakes. These are then ground into a
powder through shear action in a roller mill. Larger
particles are filtered and then fed to the mill until all
particles fall into the specified < 0.2 mm fines fraction.
The regrind powder can then be put in intermediate storage
containers (silos).

On-line metering
From a silo,
the recycled powder is continuously fed to the liquid
polyol stream through a special metering station with
integrated feed screw. This on-line process of metering
bulk material into the continuous polyol stream is also
used for processing melamine powder in the production of
fire-retardant CME and CMHR foams (differential flow
system) on Hennecke's slabstock lines.
