Cost-Effective High-Volume Production of Lightweight Components
HP-RTM (High-Pressure Resin Transfer Molding) combines state-of-the-art high-pressure technology with conventional polyurethane- and resin-injection processes, making the large-scale production of fiber-reinforced structural components economically viable for the first time. The process comes into its own when low weight and maximum strength are required in tandem – primarily in the mobility sector, but also across a wide range of other industries.
Manufacturers benefit from shorter cycle times, higher levels of automation, and consistently reproducible quality, even at high production volumes. The result is a solution for components that not only withstand extreme loads, but are also significantly lighter than steel, and corrosion-resistant.
Where High Pressure Meets Resin Injection
Glass, carbon, or natural fiber preforms are placed into a closed mold and injected with highly reactive polyurethane, epoxy, or polyolefin resin systems under high pressure. This accelerates curing and significantly reduces cycle times compared to conventional RTM. Patented equal-pressure nozzles ensure homogeneous injection and precise fiber positioning.
