In stationary molded foam production, mold carriers are permanently installed on the factory floor. The reactive mixture is brought to the mold using flexible application systems – manual mixheads, filling manipulators, mounted mixheads, or robotic systems. In this way, components such as bumpers, spoilers, door sills, foam-backed carpets, and instrument panels can be produced – in combination with technologies like PUR-CSM and CLEARRIM / clearmelt, if desired.
Stationary systems are particularly economical in situations where rotary or oval conveyor systems are not suitable, or where molds are especially large or complex.
Stationary production lines excel where production demands high product variance, low volumes, or specialized part requirements.
The Mechanical Backbone of Stationary Production Lines
Mold carriers are pneumatically, hydraulically, or electrically driven devices designed for open or closed foam application processes and are typically anchored to the factory floor. They hold the upper and lower halves of the mold, open the mold for loading and unloading, and keep it securely closed during curing.
The SM, SV, SVH, and SSH product series cover different size and performance classes that vary in terms of clamping force, maximum mold size, and opening mechanism. We configure the appropriate system based on your tooling requirements and factory layout – creating a production line precisely tailored to your needs.
