Blending systems precisely meter and mix additives into the primary polyol stream to fine-tune miscibility, reaction behavior, and the properties of the finished product. Blowing agents, activators, emulsifiers, foam stabilizers, flame retardants, and fillers can all be metered with exceptional accuracy in this way, allowing manufacturers to develop proprietary formulations in-house and produce them with consistent quality.

This reduces dependence on preformulated raw material systems and provides greater flexibility for customized product development.

From Inline Metering to Powder Blending

  • Metering Systems

    Depending on the required level of accuracy, metering speed, and batch size, metering is carried out using gear flow meters, mass flow meters, or load cells. For small quantities, pre-weighing can also be used.  This ensures that even highly demanding formulations can be produced accurately and reproducibly.

  • Inline Metering

    For continuous mixing processes, we offer inline metering solutions in which the primary component and additives are precisely fed into either a static or dynamic mixing system. Continuous monitoring of the material flows ensures that, upon leaving the mixing unit, the formulation consistently meets the specified recipe and quality requirements.

  • Blending Systems for Liquids and Powders

    Our blending systems are designed to process both liquid and solid additives. Static and dynamic mixers, along with integrated gas injection units, allow technical gases such as dry air or nitrogen to be incorporated into the polyol stream. This creates a uniform, fine-cell foam structure, resulting in consistently improved end-product quality.
