Door Foaming Lines

Specialized systems for automated refrigerator door production

Cycle Time and Technology Open the Door to Mass Production

A refrigerator door consists of a deep-drawn inner liner and a sheet metal outer panel. Polyurethane is injected into the cavity between these layers, where it cures and simultaneously fulfills two functions: providing thermal insulation and structural stability. We offer system concepts for this process that combine maximum automation with a minimal footprint.

Depending on requirements, the foam injection is carried out using either an open-mold or closed-mold process. When pentane is used as a blowing agent, integrated safety concepts are applied, including targeted local extraction and decentralized safety control systems.

Highly Efficient Systems for Door Manufacturing

  • Compact, rotating system concepts for a minimal footprint

  • Large opening angles for ergonomic loading and unloading

  • Fast tool changeovers and flexible mixed production of different door types

  • Safe pentane processing in accordance with the proven PPT concept

ROTAMAT

rotamat

ROTAMAT is characterized by its compact design. At its core is a rotating drum with up to eight mold carriers. Its rotary movement in cycles enables fast mold closing and supports efficient, decentralized production.

The system is low-maintenance, resource-efficient, and – thanks to its use of pentane – environmentally sustainable.
