Ultra-strong lightweight composites with a polyurethane matrix
With PUR-CSM PREG, we enable the production of high-strength lightweight sandwich components featuring a polyurethane matrix. Fiber preforms are sprayed on both sides with thermally activated polyurethane and cured in heated press molds within 35 to 90 seconds.
The result is an ultra-lightweight structural component capable of replacing heavier constructions made from wood or other conventional materials.

Material is applied to one or both sides using a spray mixhead equipped with equal-pressure nozzles and a round-spray nozzle to ensure uniform material distribution. The sandwich structure consists of outer layers made from fiber preforms, such as glass-fiber mats, carbon fibers, or natural fiber materials, combined with a paper honeycomb core. Material selection is tailored to the stiffness and weight requirements of each individual component. Typical high-volume production applications include loading floors, parcel shelves, roof liners, and roof modules for virtually all automotive OEMs, as well as a broad range of non-automotive applications.
