Hennecke GROUP and YIZUMI cooperate on innovative PUR applications in the injection molding process

The Hennecke GROUP has signed a cooperation agreement with the Chinese engineering group YIZUMI to jointly develop new potential in the field of combining injection molding and polyurethane technologies for its global customer base. The aim of the cooperation is to further develop integrated overmolding technologies that combine high-quality surfaces with functional added value and set new standards in industrial production.

The signing ceremony on July 29 in Shanghai was attended by James Zhang (Deputy Managing Director YIZUMI) and Thomas Wildt (CEO Hennecke GROUP) as well as other senior representatives of both companies. YIZUMI brings to the partnership extensive expertise in injection molding applications and a strong network of polyurethane specialists and raw material suppliers in key Asian markets. Hennecke complements this with in-depth expertise and strong innovative power in this special segment of polyurethane processing. The cooperation is intended to provide new momentum for the industrial implementation of overmolding technologies and accelerate the development of future-oriented applications.

The focus here is on the findings from YIZUMI's extensive research projects on ReactPro technology, which enables the realization of functional surfaces with a high degree of design freedom and excellent resistance through the direct integration of PUR overmolding in the tool. Since 2018, the company has continuously invested in personnel, resources and capital, built up a professional research and development team and established an in-house research center for polymer processing. "The combination of injection molding and PUR opens up completely new possibilities for functional and aesthetically sophisticated components. Together with YIZUMI, we want to further develop this potential in a targeted manner," emphasizes Thomas Wildt.

As the world's leading supplier of PUR processing technology, Hennecke has decades of experience in the development and implementation of complex PUR processes. The company has been driving forward PUR overmolding technologies suitable for large-scale production for more than three decades. Increasingly, the focus is on industrial integration in a combined process step - for example in the production of scratch-resistant, high-gloss surfaces for the automotive industry or in the combination of decorative and functional elements in the field of consumer electronics or for household appliances.

Hennecke actively contributes this expertise to partnerships - always with the aim of driving innovative solutions forward globally together with machine builders, raw material suppliers and OEMs. The Hennecke GROUP consciously relies on an open innovation model that promotes exchange and enables new technological standards. The collaboration with another innovative and strong partner in injection molding technology will open up many new opportunities. The cooperation with YIZUMI is part of the Hennecke GROUP's strategic orientation to develop new applications for PUR technologies together with various system partners.
